VoiceThread and Flickr

Sharing Visual Media

Flickr: is a site where people can easily upload and organize digital images and share them with others. People can comment on the pictures, rate them, and save the photos for themselves.

VoiceThread: a site where you can share digital images. VoiceThread allows people to record why the images are important. You can also leave comments that are voice recorded.

I love the idea of VoiceThread for both teachers and students. Teachers can publish pictures and add voice threads . Teachers can then share these VoiceThreads with parents and students to show what work is going on in the class. Students can do the same thing to share images and things that are important to them. I like that students can comment on VoiceThread in English and teachers can go back and listen to their commnets. This is great practice and assessment.
